Facilities Supervisor

The Facilities Supervisor provides supervision and technical guidance to facilities maintenance technicians and/or outside contractors for the purpose of start up, commissioning, maintaining and repairing the Framingham Biologics at 45 and 51 NYA. The appropriate candidate will actively oversee the daily operations and maintenance activities to assure compliance with all company and regulatory agency policies and procedures. The successful candidate will partner with other functional areas to effectively schedule maintenance activities, coordinate resources and assign work to direct reports.

You will interact with other support groups such as Engineering, Validation, Quality Assurance and Metrology. The Facilities Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring schedule adherence and rescheduling and/or reassigning tasks as necessary. You will work with building maintenance technicians, maintenance planners and inventory control to develop a reliable spare parts program. You will also be responsible for assisting in the development of a robust operations and maintenance strategy and assessing areas for continuous improvement. The Facilities Supervisor will approve time sheets, identify and recommend training needs, develop and conduct training programs and complete performance appraisals for direct reports.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years experience supervising a facilities maintenance organization. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of clean utility systems (WFI, Clean Steam, Purified Water) and building support systems (HVAC, chilled water, electrical distribution, compressed air, compressed gasses, etc.). Must have experience operating automated systems (BMS, DCS and PLC). Must be proficient and have experience using a computerized maintenance management system. Must have strong computer skills utilizing MS Office suite applications, strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred: Operations and maintenance experience in a cGMP or other regulated environment is highly preferable.
